My Story

Artyom Sargsian:   I was born on September 8, 2007, in Gyumri. My hair and eyes are black. I'm in 12th grade. My favorite subjects are History, Geography, Russian, and French. I have migraines, headaches, fainting episodes, and inflammation of the neck nerve. I take prescription medication. I attend our local Apostolic church, the "Entanik" center, and a French club. My father, Artyom, died in an accident in 2007. My mother, Flora, is unemployed. She has arrhythmia and nerve inflammation. She participated in the 44-day war as a reserve soldier. My mother is my guardian. I am an only child. My 77-year-old grandfather also lives with us. Our income is not enough to care for our needs. It includes only a poverty allowance and my grandfather's pension. The former mayor of Gyumri allocated us a two-room apartment on the 9th floor of a 9-story building for temporary residence. The elevator doesn't work. The apartment is in poor condition, lacking interior finishing. The walls are bare and faded. The apartment is very cold, with only the kitchen being heated. The former mayor donated kitchen furniture. The rest of the furniture is old and broken. Household appliances are in average condition. Adequate utilities are available. Remark*   Artyom is quick-tempered and hot-headed, which is related to his migraines and headaches. He does not enjoy socialising much. Artyom is very talented, loves reading, and studies with excellent academic performance. He participated in the regional Russian language Olympiad. Artyom loves the French language.
