My Story

(DC1-245) Larisa P. was born on November 11, in Yerevan town. Her hair and eyes are black. She is in the 3th grade, and her favorite subject is the Armenian language. Larisa is active; she hardly follows the Center's rules and implements her lessons. Sometimes she doesn't obey the instructions of specialists.  Larisa attends an Apostolic church. She lives with her mother,  grandmother, brother (9 years old),  and sister (6 years old) in a 1-room house. Her father died of cancer in January 2021. The family income comes from a single caregiver pension and mother's low salary. Every month, the family repays a loan that they spent for treating Larisa's father.  Because of financial problems, mother can not meet their children's primary developmental needs. She is psychologically depressed because of her husband's death and family conflicts. She has a low level of parenting skills. The house was renovated 9 years ago. Some windows of the house are moldy. They use a gas heater for heating as there is no heating system in the house. The ceiling is in poor condition, sometimes the putty spills. The living space is not enough for family members. Anna sleeps with her children in the living room.   Due to the problems mentioned above, the professional team of the Day center decided to take the child into the program.
