My Story

(DC4-042; update) Hello, my name is Garegin K. I am 11-years-old. My birthday is June 25th. I was born in Gyumri, Armenia. I have brown eyes and hair. I am in 6th grade. I have mental retardation. My father works abroad and my mother, Kristine is a cleaner. I have an 19-year-old brother, named Andranik and a 15-year-old sister, named Gayane. My family income is not enough to care for our basic needs. It includes only my mother's low salary and sometimes, the money sent from my father. The house we live in belongs to the grandfather and needs renovation. The kitchen floor is made from concrete and the walls are damaged. We don't have a bathroom. We take showers with water boiled on the stove. My mother can't follow up with my lessons, which is why I have slow progress in school. Due to these issues, I have been enrolled into the "Shogh" Day Center.

Remark* Garegin is sociable, active and friendly. He loves to help with household chores. He is in an inclusive education because he has mild mental retardation․ He is interested in painting and is good at singing. He loves the Day center and is very active and attentive.
