My Story

Mari H.: I was born on September 26th, in Goris. My eyes and hair are black. I am in 2nd grade. My favorite school subject is Math. I am completely healthy. My father is a driver. My mother is a housewife. My parents are my guardians. I have a brother (Marat - 14) and 2 sisters (Mariam - 16, Maria - 1). My 69-year-old grandfather, Marat, also lives with us. Our income is not enough to cover our needs. It includes my father's salary, my grandfather's pension, child benefits for my little sister (should be received until she turns 6 years old), and a caregiver's allowance for my little sister (should be received until she turns 2 years old). We live in a three-room, very old house, with several recently replaced windows. The roof leaks. The house is in urgent need of renovation. Utilities are available, but also require repair. The house is furnished, mostly with old and worn furniture. It is connected to gas, but heated with wood. (6-245; new)

Remark* Mari is a lively and active child. She performs well academically. Mari enjoys singing, dancing, and drawing.
