My Story

Edmon Stepanian: I was born on October 14, in Dilijan. My hair is brown, while my eyes are blue-green. I am in kindergraten. My favorite activities are painting, listening to music, dancing, and playing with toy cars. I have an intellectual disability and a speech impediment. I attend rehabilitative therapy sessions. I attend our local Apostolic church. My father is a daily-wage laborer. My mother is a housewife. I have a 4-year-old brother, Albert. Our guardians are our parents. Our income is not sufficient to cove rour needs; it includes my medical pension, my father's salary, and a poverty allowance. We live in an old two-room house in need of renovation. The floor and the walls are in a dilapidated state. There is barely any furniture or natural sunlight. One room is damp. The roof leaks during rain. The kitchen and the bathroom are partially built. Gas and electricity are provided. Water is brought from a pond 200 metres away from the village. (7-417; new)

Remark* Edmon is quite sensitive due to his health condition. He is hyperactive and anxious. Edmon loves painting, because it relaxes him. Due to his speech impediment, Edmon feels calm and satisfied whenever he paints or listens to music.
