My Story

Ashkhen D.: I was born on October 18, in Goris. My hair and eyes are black. I am a 1st grader and I enjoy learning the Armenian language. I am healthy. I live with my parents and my 11-year-old brother, Arthur in my grandfather's two-room house. My father is unemployed. My mother is a teacher. She has a malignant tumour in her bladder. She has undergone surgery and continues treatment. My parents are my caregivers. The house we live in is in urgent need of renovation. Utilities are unavailable. The bathroom is in the yard. Most of the furniture is old. There is no gas. The house is heated with firewood. (6-253; new)

Remark* Ashkhen is active and agile. She loves painting. Ashkhen has started school this year and enjoys studying.
