My Story

Yana H.: I was born on December 14, in Gyumri. My hair is brown, while my eyes are dark brown. I am in 2nd grade. My favourite school subject is the Armenian language. I have astigmatism and myopia. We have no information about my father. My mother occasionally works as a housemaid. She has kidney stones, severe astigmatism, and a spinal nerve issue. She frequently requires medical treatment due to kidney stone attacks. Our family income is not sufficient to cover our needs; it includes state benefits, my mother's medical pension, and her occasional salary. We live in a single room in a dilapidated dormitory. The living conditions are inadequate. The bathroom facilities are shared. (DC4-067; new)

Remark* Yana is active and clever. She loves studying and is very organised. Yana has skipped 1st grade due to the family's financial circumstances, as her mother decided to let her skip a year because she could not afford it. Yana is currently in 2nd grade. However, she is learning according to the 1st-grade program to catch up.
