My Story

Susanna S.: She celebrates her birthday on April 18. She is a fifth-grade student from Gyumri who excels in school and especially enjoys math.  Susanna lives with her mother, Tatev, her younger sister, Nare, and her maternal grandparents and great-grandmother. Her parents are separated, and her mother is Susanna’s primary caregiver. Tatev is currently unable to work and also faces ongoing health challenges. The family has limited financial resources and relies on state assistance, her great-grandmother’s pension, and seasonal income earned by her grandparents to help meet their everyday needs. The family lives in a state-provided apartment with limited utilities, including no hot water or bathroom. Despite the challenges her family faces, Susanna continues to do well in school and pursue her love of gymnastics.

 (DC4-084; new) Remark* Independent, organized, attentive, and friendly, Susanna is a strong student who participates in academic olympiads. She also practices gymnastics and has achieved considerable success in the sport.
