My Story

Mane B.:  I was born on August 24th, in Yerevan. My hair and eyes are dark brown. I study at a secondary school and I am in the 5th grade. My favorite subject is the Armenian language. I have dental issues and a nasal adenoma. My father, is a seasonal laborer. My mother is a housewife and takes care of us. She has stomach problems. My guardians are my parents. I have two sisters (Sona - 11 and Nane - 10 years old) and a brother (Martin - 7 years old). My grandmother Raya also lives with us. She is 60. Our family income is not enough to care for our basic needs. It includes only my grandma's salary and allowance. We live in a 2-room private house in need of renovation. We have recently updated our utilities with the help of the "Karitas" charity organization, but the work is still not done. Some of our furniture is worn out and old. There is gas, but we heat the place with firewood. The house is too tiny for our family. Using your assistance, we will care for our basic needs. (6-236; updated)

Remark* Mane is a humble, slightly shy girl. She likes painting and reading. Mane takes care of their pet rabbits with great pleasure. This year, she has started regularly attending their local ECA day center.
